A past life as a solicitor in the City of London hasn’t toughened the charming and articulate Naomi Knill. A curiosity and passion for food led her to launch her blog, The Ginger Gourmand in 2007, placing her amongst the first wave of prominent UK food bloggers. Since then she has built up a large social media following and written for a range of top food publications including Delicious magazine, The Guardian, Londonist, and Top Santé. In 2014 Top Santé magazine described her as the “Working Mum’s Saviour.”
In recent years, Naomi co-founded the popular cult London bake club Band of Bakers, which featured on Paul Hollywood’s BBC2 series, Bread, and was the focus of a six-page spread in Delicious magazine. Naomi has also run a popular pop-up tea room at the Sunday Art Salon in south-east London, displayed and sold her delicious creations at the Covent Garden Real Food Market, baked for several local cafés and recently hosted a successful supper club in Soho.
An experience with Naomi will lead you through small local cafes, restaurants and independent businesses, learning about and meeting the chefs, producers and business owners who are the true behind-the-scene champions of London’s culinary progress. She is passionate about food and encouraging a love of food and tastes in young children.Explore: #SideStoryNaomi
